Event Details

Join Falkirk’s Local Environment Task Force (the LEAF Group) for weekly volunteering opportunities in the outdoors.

As a volunteer you’ll help maintain and conserve key outdoors spaces by the Forth & Clyde and Union canals in Falkirk. Over the years, the group has made some fantastic improvements to the local environment at areas including the magnificent Kelpies and the iconic Falkirk Wheel. Tasks vary each week but can include planting wildflowers, weeding and vegetation management, litter-picking, creating wildlife habitats and the creation of new rockeries and garden areas.

You will:

  • learn new skills
  • meet new people
  • work in a group
  • imrpove the local area for everyone to enjoy
  • have fun in the outdoors

We provide all equipment and tools necessary, you just need to bring yourself, some lunch and dress appropriately for the weather.

To come along, whether once or regularly, please contact us.

All welcome!
