News from our Maryhill canal adoption

Volunteers enjoyed bright winter sunshine on our first outing of 2017. New recruits Amanda and Mark joined some of our regulars on a mission to collect litter between Locks 21 and 27.

The towpath didn’t actually look too bad at first glance but we still collected about 9 bags-worth of rubbish. It was heartening to be thanked and complimented by passers-by, clearly appreciative of the volunteers’ hard work.
Back out in a few weeks to do some painting, weather permitting. Come along and join us!
