Hi, I’m Shona. Specialising in project management and promotions, I’ve delivered many cultural tourism, community development and educational projects across Scotland. Descended from Fisherrow’s fishing community, my family brought their boats through the Caledonian Canal and I’m looking forward to its 200th Anniversary in 2022. Also, a freelance photojournalist, I find myself very drawn to the beauty and rich heritage of Scotland’s canals and waterways. Having lived at both ends of the Caledonian Canal, beside the Union Canal and done many photoshoots of the stunning Kelpies, I’ve benefitted greatly from regular visits to explore and learn more about these wonderful places.
Contributing to the valuable work of the Scottish Waterways Trust, I’m keen for many more to be inspired to discover and more fully enjoy the tremendous recreational, educational and business opportunities which Scotland’s canals and waterways have to offer to us all.
