This Sunday, join us for a fun day of canal-side volunteering in Falkirk! We will be planting wildflower meadow areas and hedgerows beside the canal near the Kelpies.
Wildflower meadows not only look beautiful and add a splash of colour to our summer along the canal, but also provide habitats for a range of creatures including butterflies and bees! Hedgerows are great for wildlife too, offering feeding and nesting habitats for lots of small birds.
We will meet at 10:30am underneath the Kelpies. You are welcome to join us later as we will be working until around 2:30pm – simply follow the signs from the Kelpies directing you along the canal to where we will be working. Please wear clothes suitable for working outdoors – warm clothing, waterproofs, sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy.
